Guildsystem 2: WarGuilds

Dear Blogcarousel,
Today’s post is about the Guild Wars 2 Guild System or, as it is more commonly known, ‘GW2GS’.

GW2GS?
For starters, what do we really know about GW2GS? Or more importantly what do I know about GW2GS?
The following list contains everything I know:
- Join multiple guilds, represent one at a time
- At the moment one guild chat at a time
- No guildhall at release
- Guild storage
- Something about flags that give bonuses to guild members, I don’t know!
Basically the only thing of any substance is the fact that you can join multiple guilds. What were they thinking? geez!

Unprotected coupling with multiple Guilds
Actually, I like this part of the GuildWars2 GW2GS (GW2GW2GS) and I’ll tell you why. (alternate version: “and I won’t tell you why, the end.”)

Capes. Yes! now, capes haven’t been confirmed for GW2, nor do they seem particularly likely to come back in the exact same form as in GW1 thus completely invalidating the following argument.

Anyway, in guildwars1 I played with a few friends I knew from outside GW1, we made out own little guild with a sweet cape.
After a while when other members started playing a bit less I wanted to try some other guilds, see some of the more coordinated stuff GW could offer. I ran into the following problem:

Why is everyone so horrible at making capes? I usually quit those guilds after a while, having to ask my friend to re-invite me.
Needless to say in GW2 I could just keep both my friendship-guild and otherstuff-guild to both look cool and do stuff.

Next blog: Dragons? whats going on with those guys?
